Our client company was established in the summer of 2021 with offices based in Cheltenham and Exeter but client coverage across the South of England and the Midlands. The Principal has over 10 years experience as a fund manager for one of the UK’s largest discretionary fund managers and has developed a client bank of high net worth individuals. They have grown their FuM to £200m. As well as offering discretionary fund management via a formidable wealth manager listed on the NYSE who manages £13bn FuM for 45,000 clients, the firm offer open architecture to enable clients to stay invested on existing investment mandates. The firm have strong financials evidenced by their profitable trading since inception and funding is in place to support their growth plans through acquisitions. They have built the business to a size where they can benefit from going directly authorised hence their interest in completing a change in control on a clean directly authorised business.

Value

·         Generally a multiple of 3.5x to 4x of ongoing fee income.

·         Typical deal structure of 50% upfront on completion, 25% at 12 months and 25% at 24 months

·         You must be a Financial Adviser, with up to £30m – £200m FuM

·         Clean compliance record with no / few upheld complaints nor DB Pension Transfers

·         Vendor to stay on in an ambassadorial capacity to help with client handovers
